6 month stats!

Our little baby had her 6 month dr. visit today and did great! Here are her updated stats:

Length: 26 1/2" (75th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs. 11 oz. (95th percentile)
Head: 17 1/4" (75th percentile)

She is "thriving" as the doctor says :) All is going according to plan, developmentally...she is going to start eating solids 3 meals a day now, instead of just 2...such a big girl!!! I love her doctor, too...we happened to get on the conversation about us moving and looking for a house, and he gave me his home address and phone number if we wanted to take a look at his neighborhood, he'd give us a tour of his house (to see the model, because he lives in an area that we are looking at)! Maya likes him, too, gave him a big 'ol smile when he came in -- 2 teeth showing! Anyway, that was our excitement today...she got 4 shots which are never fun, but I don't think she even felt the first one, cause she didn't make a sound..then we had some screaming for the others, but the nurse was fast and as soon as I was able to pick her up she stopped crying. Plus - she slept for an hour after her appointment! (which is twice as long as her normal nap!) Here is a picture from today - just playing and being cute this evening!!

Swimming!!!

Maya started swimming class at the Y last week! It's really just an "adjustment to water" class, but she had a good time splashing around in the pool and singing songs and stuff! Daddy came along to the first class to get some pictures....here we are:

Maya Maya Bathy Time!!!

Maya loves her bathtime now!! We couldn't help but snap a few shots after her bath a couple days ago....just too cute for words :)

....and did you notice in these pictures that she is sitting up...unsupported by anything?? We were, of course, close by, just in case, but she is getting very strong and sits up by herself for quite some time now! I will actually leave her now with the Boppy or some pillows around her...she loves to play sitting up, only, occasionally, she also decides she'd like to lie down, and she's not real graceful at that yet :)!

On a side note, our little baby is 6 months old today...little tear...how the time has flown!!

Maya's weekend with Nana & Grandpa!

This past weekend while Kevin and I were in Vegas, Nana and Grandpa came from Ohio to watch Maya! They had a blast...here are a few pics I stole from my mom's camera.....

Nana and Grandpa were fun, but I'm glad to have Mommy and Daddy home again :)

Thank you Nana and Grandpa for taking care of Maya while Mommy and Daddy were re-living their pre-Maya days in Vegas!! Thank God we didn't lose her college fund!!! :)
