Some pics...

OK - I've gotten bad about updating...here are a few pics to catch you up on what my little darling has been up to:

We went to a place called Treehouse in Lake Zurich with our friends, the Gorskas! Maya liked it, even though she couldn't do all of the fun stuff -- there was enough -- and now we know we'll have to go back when she's a little older!

After Treehouse, we had dinner at the Gorskas -- here is Maya and her future boyfriend, Zach, running around before jammie time!

Maya's first big gulp! :) ..j/k - she really likes to play with the fast food cups! :) ..and no, there's no liquid in it :)

Nana and Grandpa when they stayed this past weekend while Mommy and Daddy went to Mexico!! ..not the best picture - I think my camera settings were off, but at least we got one of the 3 of them :)

There it is, ladies and gentlemen (...and Uncle Keith)...she walks! ...well, she's been walking for about a month now, but I finally got a good video of her this past weekend (bad mommy!). Uncle Keith has been hounding me for this, so here it is!!! Enjoy!

I know we've been MIA recently....need to get back to the blogging thing, but I just wanted to post this one pic of Maya in her super-cute monkey jammies from the Derringers in Indy - Thank you Sarah, Matt, Phoebe and Joey!!! Not sure if anyone is still out there, but we'll be back soon with new antics from TODDLER Maya...yes, that's right, folks, she's officially on the 2-foot move!!! :)

Maya's First Birthday Cupcake

I'm ONE!!!

That's right, folks...she made it...she's ONE!!!! This is a shot from our photo session last week. She was so funny with the cake - never really smashed into it -- just kind of licked the icing off of the top :) ...oh well, at least her mouth then matched her outfit! :)
We had a small dinner celebration with family here on Friday, but her big party is still coming next Saturday so that Nana and Grandpa and Uncle Keith can all be here, too! More big girl pictures to come!!!

Children's Museum with Megan!

Today Maya and her friend, Megan, went to the Kohl Children's Museum for the first time!! It definitely won't be our last!! They're a little young yet, but they still found many things to do and kids to watch! It will only get better as they get older and bigger!

Here's Maya playing the drums...she went right up to this table, grabbed the stick and started beating away! I think we're in trouble!! :)

The girls especially like the phones....there was a video screen that they could see other people who were on the phones....so cool!!

Here is where Maya spent story time in the play library. Not that into listening to the story yet, but loved to take all the books down and look at them!!

Had to take a picture here -- a Chase ATM! :) Well, really a giant calculator, but they had fun punching the buttons!

This was the best! Maya crawled over to this car and went right up behind the wheel like she already has her license!! :) Slow down, baby girl :)
